When asked which rabbitry management systems breeders were using, the most popular responses were: #1 Evans, #2 Everbreed, #3 Bunny Trails, and #4 Who's Due, among many others. About 20% of breeders reported having to use multiple apps, or keep paper records and home made spreadsheets in addition to their main systems.

When it comes to subscription type, more than half of breeders opted for a one-time purchase or download. Just over 30% of breeders were split between yearly or monthly subscription services. With the remainder making their own records with free tools and custom spreadsheets.

Breeders had a wide range of positive things to say about their current management systems. The best reviews pertained to systems that had easy to use and comprehensive pedigree entry tools, especially if it could auto generate pedigrees for new kits from existing parents. Bonus points for being mobile friendly and helping with task management and organization. 

More thank half of all breeders reported they currently had pedigrees that were waiting to be done. Either entering new breeding stock, or generating pedigrees for new kits or rabbits being sold.

More than two thirds of breeders reported their biggest obstacle was the time and effort it takes to sit down and manually input pedigree information. Even with the most popular and user friendly management systems, setting aside time to do pedigrees becomes a chore.

When asked which rabbitry management tools were considered the most valuable, instant pedigree uploads easily accrued the most votes. Significant numbers also showed up for breeding statistics, easy rabbit transfers, and Calendar / Task reminders.

Over 95% of the hundreds of breeders surveyed, expressed interest in testing a new app with these advanced capabilities. Some even explicitly noted they had been waiting for a system that could instantly upload pedigrees.  

When asked for additional input or comments, the top response was emphasis on the need for easier new rabbit pedigree uploads. Also frequently noted was the desire for a breeding tracking system that was not glitchy, was mobile friendly, and could be compatible with different operating systems.
